It has been well documented that Airbus will miss its early-year goal of 820 deliveries in 2025, having recently re-stated that its target has been lowered to 790.

As of the end of November, Airbus had delivered a little under 660 aircraft, and to get to its new target, the European airframer needs to deliver around 130 aircraft.

Airbus was behind the curve from the start of the year, with lower delivery numbers year-over-year until August. As of November, there were only three months which Airbus delivered more in 2025 than in 2019.

While 130+ seems like a large number, back in 2019, which was Airbus’ banner year, Airbus delivered almost 140 aircraft that December to give them a total of 863 deliveries that year. So, while 790 still seems a long way off, it’s not out of reach.

FlightFriday

Flight Friday is compiled using data from Aviation Week Intelligence Network’s (AWIN) Tracked Aircraft Utilization module, the most comprehensive and accurate solution for global tracking of aircraft utilization.

Based on recorded flight movements from ADS-B data, combined with AWIN’s robust fleet intelligence, users gain insight into the aircraft’s actual versus reported movement, down to the tail number. This unique solution provides users a more up-to-date and comprehensive analysis of aircraft utilization.
