Turkish Airlines orders 26 Boeing 737-800s and placed options on another 23

Turkish Airlines yesterday ordered 26 Boeing 737-800s and placed options on another 23, in a total order Boeing valued at $1.33 billion, or about $51 million apiece list price. Delivery will occur between 1998 and 2002. If all options are exercised, the order could be worth $2.5 billion.
