United Airlines operates 34 flight arrivals and departures from new Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport on opening day (june 4, 2014) linking the London gateway with six destinations in the United States: Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington Dulles.
The famous PEOPLExpress brand will return to the US domestic market from June 30, 2014 after an agreement was reached to launch seven routes from Newport News Williamsburg International Airport using three 150-seat Boeing 737-400s contracted from Vision Airlines.
It is understood that at this time no formal mandate has been made by the Democratic Republic of Congo CAA and Korongo Airlines is currently the only carrier that has suspended its domestic flights.
There has been a significant increase in air services between Brazil and the US in recent years as a more relaxed bilateral agreement has been introduced ahead of the expected establishment of full Open Skies between the countries from October 1, 2015. The oneworld alliance member will launch a daily service between Stuttgart and Abu Dhabi from December 1, 2014 using an Airbus A320 configured with 12 seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy Class. Since the launch in July 2013 of Air Canada rouge, Air Canada has deployed its leisure carrier to a growing number of Caribbean, European and select sun destinations in the United States.
The airline plans new flights to Cartagena, Colombia and Las Vegas, Nevada and Jacksonville, Florida from October 29, 2014, the same day the airline will also launch its previously announced non-stop service to Pittsburgh.
Luxair confirms relaunched service has been “widely used by business passengers, notably in the financial sector and fund industry” and was also popular with leisure passengers and Irish citizens living in Luxembourg.
The new route will operate on a twice weekly basis from February 5, 2015 and will be Icelandair's fifth destination in the UK and 39th across its expanding network.
In the first change to the Philippine - Canada Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) since December 2008, the two sides have agreed to increase the frequency entitlement for each side from seven flights a week to 14. Fifth freedom rights were also increased from four to five per week.
There has been a growing demand for air connectivity between China and the popular leisure destination with O&D demand rising massively over the past ten years from just 8,000 bi-directional passengers in 2004 to around 66,000 in 2013.
