WestJet launched seasonal four-times-weekly Toronto-New Orleans service, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays through April 29. Olympic Air and Etihad Airways launched a codeshare agreement under which OA will place its code on EY Athens-Abu Dhabi service as well as selected long-haul flights between Abu Dhabi and Sydney/Melbourne.
Qatar Airways has announced it is bringing forward the launch date of its new Stuttgart route due to strong demand for the airline's fourth German destination. The Doha-based carrier will start its scheduled three-times-a-week service between the capital city of Qatar and Stuttgart on 6 March 2011.
Three days after celebrating the launch of its Istanbul Ataturk-Washington Dulles service, Turkish Airlines told reporters in Washington that it intends to begin serving Detroit, Houston, Miami, Boston and Atlanta. "We are in the planning period," CEO Temel Kotil said.
