Iceland’s aviation authorities closed Keflavik International Airport to all inbound and outbound air traffic Sunday following Saturday's eruption of the Grimsvotn volcano.
Flydubai will launch thrice-weekly Dubai-Hyderabad service June 1, its second destination in India. JAL Group will resume regular Tokyo Narita service to Honolulu (thrice-daily) and Shanghai (twice-daily) in June. It temporarily suspended one daily flight on each route in April.

Passenger traffic at Dubai International surged 13.2 per cent in April according to the traffic results announced by Dubai Airports on Thursday. Dubai Airports partially attributed the rebound to the drop in traffic to and from Europe following the volcanic eruption in Iceland during April last year.
Scandinavian Airlines announced Thursday it signed a letter of intent with Singapore Airlines to further develop and enhance their partnership. “This may cover additional codeshare flights, as well as network cooperation on potential new sectors between Scandinavia and Singapore,” SAS said in a statement.
