Bombardier wins people moving deal at Jeddah airport

Bombardier Transportation group has been awarded a $100m contract to provide the people mover system for the new King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) Development Project in Jeddah

The Canadian compay was given the award by the Saudi Binladin Group which is the main contractir for the airport.

Bombardier will be designing, building, operating and maintaining its Innovia APM 300 system. The system is scheduled for completion for early 2014 according to the Saudi Gazette newspaper.
