Alaska Airlines will receive its first Boeing 737-900ER with new, bigger overhead bins in October, Alaska Airlines Managing Director-Customer Research and Development Sandy Stelling said at the Airline Passenger Experience Expo (APEX) in Portland, Oregon. These taller Boeing “Space Bins” are expected to increase overhead space by about 30% and ease the boarding process, Stelling says.
