The cover of the March 7, 1966, issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology shows the third launch of an Air Force Titan 3C at Cape Kennedy, which put three payloads into highly elliptical orbits. But a valve failure that prevented a transtage restart caused the principal payload. Orbiting vehicle 2-3, to remain attached to the stage.
