From The Archives: RCA Satcom In Test Chamber

Leading our January 19, 1976 edition was the RCA 24-channel communications satellite, which underwent an RF subsystem checkout on a communications test range at the company's Astro-Electronics Div. Antennas of satcom in a test chamber pointing at a 200-ft. high-feed tower 400-ft. away.

The next launch was planned for March 1976.
