From The Archives: Lockheed Seasat Model

The cover image of the issue dated April 19, 1976, showed a one-fifth scale model of the NASA/Lockheed Missiles & Space Co Seasat-A ocean dynamics satellite demonstrating the placement of multiple electronic sensors and integration of payload with a modified Agena spacecraft. 

The program was managed for NASA by CalTech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
