From The Archives: Apollo 11 Landing On Moon
Astronauts Neil A. Armstrong and Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. planted a U.S. flag on the Sea of Tranquility 46 min. after Armstrong took man's first step on the lunar surface. Wire stiffening holds out the flag in the near vacuum environment.
