SAS To Test Fingerprint, Scanned-Iris IDs
Frequent flyers will help SAS test biometry at Umea Airport, beginning in November, using their fingerprints to pass through the boarding gate and, a few weeks later, having their eyes scanned. Though SAS has tested fingerprints before, the iris-scan will be a first for the airline.
