Rolls-Royce will convert a Boeing 747-200

Rolls-Royce will convert a Boeing 747-200 to serve as a flying test bed for future engine development programs. The company will test the Trent 1000, which is being developed as a launch engine for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, on the Boeing 747-200 aircraft in mid-2007.
