Rolls-Royce Stops Design Work On The Trent 8115 Engine

Rolls-Royce has stopped design work on the Trent 8115 engine it hoped to build for the Boeing 777X. Rolls appears to have accepted that GE's exclusivity deal with Boeing will stand. Rolls likely was encouraged by a European Commission statement that it would not challenge the exclusive pact.
