Yesterday, I placed 16 things on my to-do list. At the end of the day, 10 were done and I wished I had more time (and energy!). How often do you hear someone say, “I wish I had more hours in a day!”? In the MRO industry, time dictates many activities—from life-limited parts to cycle times to contractual turnaround times. Airlines and MROs gain efficiencies and save money by extending time on wing or slashing turnaround times. Operators strive for optimal asset utilization.

The Regional Airline Association added Stacey Bechdolt as director, safety and technical affairs. Bechdolt joins the association in Washington, D.C. and most recently served as manager, training compliance and AQP coordinator for Comair.

British Airways Engineering and VAS Aero Services announced an aftermarket inventory agreement that makes them each others' customer and supplier. Through this multimillion-dollar deal, VAS Aero Service will move its European inventory to British Airways' London Heathrow facility so the airline can gain immediate access to the supplier's inventory. In return, VAS can sell the airline's excess inventory through its distribution network. Using British Airways' distribution center at Heathrow also should expedite VAS's distribution capability.
