MTU To Take Over PW6000 Final Assembly

MTU Aero Engines is taking over final assembly of Pratt & Whitney's PW6000 engine, behind by 30 months and set to power the Airbus A318, and will set up a line at MTU's Hannover plant. MTU has a one-third share in the program and developed the high-pressure compressor.
