SR Technics Rolls Out Digital Tire Tracking System

SR Technics has become the first MRO provider to adopt a digital tracking system aimed at improving the efficiency and accuracy of aircraft tire inventory management.

The MRO provider has implemented Bridgestone’s easytrack system at its SR Technics Spain SAU locations in Madrid and Mallorca, which focus on wheel and brake repair services. With the system fully integrated across the locations’ stores and wheel shop operations, SR Technics says previously manual processes for logistics, planning and inventory management are now faster, more reliable and fully traceable.

Bridgestone first introduced easytrack in October 2020. The application scans QR codes on aircraft tires to retrieve information and electronic documents, such as serial numbers, invoices and certificates, which enables customers to see an aircraft tire’s history. It also includes a reporting feature to record damage and health issues.

According to SR Technics, easytrack has reduced its tire processing time by 45%. The technology has also improved its planning capabilities, increased its efficiency, enhanced its data accuracy and significantly decreased previously manual administrative tasks, according to the company.

SR Technics says rollout of the technology was the result of a two-year collaborative project. The company has not yet responded to requests for comment about what the collaboration entailed or what its formerly manual inventory processes involved.

Cebu Pacific Air become the first airline to implement easytrack in July 2025. It said the transition from manual visual checks and paper-based processes to the new technology reduced labor time for inventory management by around 50% and enabled 100% accuracy of inventory management data.

Bridgestone has also worked with Japan Airlines subsidiary J-AIR to offer predictive maintenance for aircraft tires. Bridgestone is using a digital tire wear prediction algorithm to estimate tire wear based on the airline’s flight data and aircraft insights to predict ideal timing for tire replacement.
