WICHITA—Commercial and military aviation supplier Ontic has acquired Wichita-based Aero-Mach, a 55-year-old company which provides aviation parts distribution and aftermarket support through three divisions.
Aero-Mach Labs provides aerospace manufacturing, technical, repair and overhaul services; Aero-Mach Wilco is a distributor of aviation parts and products; and Aero-Mach TCO designs and manufactures aircraft static dischargers for piston and turbine aircraft.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Aero-Mach is a great fit for Ontic,” Ontic CEO JC Gallagher said Oct. 2. “It has an excellent reputation, specialist capabilities and strong relationships with customers across the aviation industry. Importantly, the team also understands what it takes to successfully transition and support aerospace product lines, making its capabilities highly complementary to Ontic. By bringing Aero-Mach into Ontic, we can build on those strengths while providing the investment, scale and global reach to support its continued growth.”
For Aero-Mach, joining Ontic is an “exciting next step,” the target's CEO Jeff Carnley said. “We share a commitment to quality, technical expertise and long-term customer support. Becoming part of a global aerospace business gives us the opportunity to build on what we have created, invest in our capabilities and continue to grow while retaining the strengths that our customers value,” Carnley said.
The acquisition increases Ontic’s footprint to 11 sites worldwide.
