ST Engineering has signed a 15-year services agreement with domestic carrier Japan Transocean Air for its Boeing 737NG aircraft fleet.

Under the agreement, signed this week in Singpore, services include off-wing maintenance support, on-wing services and technical support for the narrowbody aircraft. Services will begin from 2020 at the company's MRO facilities in Singapore.

The contract continues the longstanding partnership between ST Engineering and Japan Transocean Air, an airline subsidiary of Japan Airlines. Previously, the companies have worked together on component services for the Boeing 737-800 fleet to airframe servics on its fleet of 737NGs.

Mr Noriyuki Aoki, President of Japan Transocean Air, said, the maintenance agreement will give the airline leverage through maintenance cost optimization and cost control benefits.
