AMSTERDAM—FL Technics has cemented its recent expansion of capabilities for Embraer aircraft by becoming the airframer’s newest Embraer Authorized Service Center in Europe.
Under the new authorization, FL Technics will provide services for Embraer 170 and 190 jets operating in Lithuania from its facilities in Vilnius and Kaunas.
Carlos Naufel, Embraer Services and Support's president and CEO, tells Aviation Week that the addition of FL Technics to its service center network will strengthen the airframer’s global support structure and expand its footprint in Europe.
“A strong and accessible support network is essential to helping our customers maximize aircraft availability and operational efficiency,” he says. “This partnership increases the maintenance options available to E-Jet operators and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class support wherever our customers operate.”
FL Technics first launched line maintenance services for Embraer aircraft in 2023. It now provides these services across what it says are key European stations, including Palanga and Vilnius, Lithuania; Alesund, Bergen, Bodo, Oslo and Trondheim, Norway; and Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
FL Technics was granted European Union Aviation Safety Agency Part 145 heavy-maintenance approval for E170 and E190 aircraft in March 2025. At the time, then-CEO Zilvinas Lapinskas said the company’s next step was to obtain approval for E2 series aircraft.
Polish MRO provider LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services became the first Embraer Authorized Service Center for E2s in Europe in April 2025. Embraer subsidiary OGMA also offers heavy maintenance for E2s in Europe.
