Embraer subsidiary OGMA has entered a strategic partnership with Axiscades, a technology solutions company based in India, to scale MRO, aerospace manufacturing, airframe engineering and certification services for commercial and military aircraft. The partnership will focus on strengthening India’s indigenous MRO ecosystem.

The partnership marks a significant step toward building advanced, high-value MRO capabilities within India while also positioning the two companies to jointly pursue international opportunities across high-growth markets.

Under the agreement, Axiscades will work with OGMA to provide maintenance and support services for Embraer and other manufacturers’ aircraft fleets operating in India. The Embraer fleet in the country includes commercial, VVIP and VIP, and airborne early warning and control aircraft platforms that require highly specialized, certified and mission-critical maintenance support.

By localizing MRO for these platforms, the partnership aims to reduce overseas dependency, improve fleet availability and retain high-value maintenance spend within India, directly supporting the country’s broader objectives of building a robust domestic aerospace sustainment ecosystem.

The collaboration brings together Axiscades’ capabilities in aircraft design, conversion, avionics, radar, electronic warfare and drone technologies with OGMA’s extensive experience in airframe and engine MRO to create an end-to-end aerospace services platform.

Axiscades is establishing an integrated aerospace and defense manufacturing and MRO hub near Bengaluru International Airport. The facility will include dedicated aircraft hangars, engine shops, a welding center of excellence and production facilities along with systems integration and certification testing infrastructure. The facility will be designed to support both civil and defense aviation requirements, enabling India to perform complex maintenance, upgrades and certifications domestically rather than relying on overseas facilities.

Beyond India, the two companies will explore business opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa region. The alliance will also leverage OGMA’s long-standing relationships with major OEMs such as Airbus Defense and Space, Embraer, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce to access new programs and expand service portfolios.
