Tata Projects has formed a strategic partnership with ASI Global to develop aircraft maintenance infrastructure across India. The collaboration will focus on providing turnkey solutions for the design and construction of MRO and aircraft hangar facilities, marking a major push to support the country’s rapidly expanding aviation ecosystem.

Under the agreement, the companies will combine their strengths to offer end-to-end services ranging from conceptual design and engineering to construction, installation and delivery of fully operational maintenance facilities. The partnership is expected to significantly improve the availability of high-quality MRO infrastructure in India, a sector that is experiencing strong demand due to the growth of domestic and international fleets.

Tata Projects says the collaboration will allow Indian aviation customers—especially airlines, MROs, airports and defense operators—to benefit from modern, efficiently designed maintenance infrastructure that can be delivered on accelerated timelines.

The joint offering will incorporate ASI Global’s advanced modular construction technologies, which enable faster assembly and flexible design customization. These systems are well-suited for India’s diverse geography and the increasing need for scalable MRO solutions across both the commercial and defense aviation segments.

Tata Projects says the collaboration aims to address India’s long-standing challenge of limited domestic MRO capacity, which often results in Indian airlines sending aircraft abroad for heavy maintenance. By enhancing India’s maintenance infrastructure locally, the partnership supports the country’s goal of building a competitive, self-reliant MRO ecosystem.
