Emirates Modifies 777 Cabins
Emirates has introduced additional cargo capacity by using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with seats removed from the economy class cabin.

Lessor to Open Hong Kong Office
Singapore-based Dragon Aviation Capital has announced the continued expansion of its technical advisory services. Next month, the company will open its satellite office in Hong Kong to further support its customers in the Greater China Region covering China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Hi Air Expands Fleet
ATR sold two ATR 72-500s from its asset management portfolio to the South Korean start-up carrier Hi Air, which started operating in December 2019. These two aircraft will double Hi Air’s fleet to four when ATR delivers them in August and October.

SunExpress Deutschland, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, decided to close its Germany subsidiary, which flies 20 EU-registered Boeing 737-800s.

Lufthansa Technik Begins Virtual Borescope Inspections
To cope with novel coronavirus-related travel restrictions, Lufthansa Technik has developed virtual borescope inspections. Customers will be able to follow borescope inspections of engines live from their location and communicate with technicians. LHT says the service will offer interactive digital documentation in the future.

Spirit Rolls Out TRAX QuickTurn Mobile App
Spirit Airlines has implemented the TRAX QuickTurn App, which enables mechanics to conduct necessary gate activity for aircraft defects upon flight landing or prior to takeoff. According to TRAX, the app will help Spirit increase its productivity and decrease maintenance costs.

Collins Aerospace Develops Aircraft Conversion Solution
Collins Aerospace Systems has developed and implemented a quick-turn solution that converts passenger aircraft into a cargo configuration. The quick-turn conversion, available for any passenger aircraft model, can be completed in as few as seven days and involves removing seats to enable a higher volume of cargo carriage on the main deck floor.

IAI To Convert Additional DHL Aircraft
