HAECO Secures Aeroflot Fleet Component Services

Hong Kong’s HAECO has inked a component services agreement with Aeroflot-Russian Airlines to support the airline’s entire fleet of aircraft.

The deal will cover component repair and overhaul, loan and exchange services for the Airbus A320 family, A330-200/300, A350-900, Boeing 737-800s, 777-300ER and including the Russian built Sukhoi Super Jet (SSJ) 100-95.

It will run till 2032 and will be jointly fulfilled by HAECO portfolio including HAECO Component Overhaul in Hong Kong and Xiamen, HAECO Composite Services and HAECO ITM.

While there are no known SSJ capability currently within the company, HAECO said the inclusion of the SSJ is “part of the umbrella component service agreement with Aeroflot covering multiple fleet types” and that the development of capability on individual part numbers will be subject to ongoing business needs.

Aviation Week Fleet Data Services shows Aeroflot has 217 aircraft including 92 A320 family aircraft, 11 A330, 46 Boeing 737s and twelve SSJ. With the exception of twelve aircraft most of Aeroflot’s aircraft are in active service.

The Russian flag carrier first signed with HAECO in 2018 for A330 heavy maintenance support, followed by A350 and the 777-300ER in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
