Boeing is introducing an AI-powered platform called Dataliner which has been designed to connect fragmented data securely to support smarter maintenance for fleets.

It also provides a common intelligence platform for Boeing’s Digital Services products, including Airplane Health Management and Maintenance Performance Toolbox.

After selling Jeppesen and ForeFlight in 2025, Boeing still had a large portfolio of digital services and knew it needed to modernize the platform and what it could provide to customers. Dataliner is its answer. It “presents a more integrated picture of decisions for airline operators to use faster,” says Chris Raymond, Boeing Global Services’ president and CEO.

In tandem, the company plans to release refreshed or new products that integrate with the cloud-based platform, Raymond says. Dataliner also will “better integrate some data that we’ve long had, whether it’s airplane performance data, airplane maintenance data, maintenance instructions, [or] the engineering technical publication” data to provide intelligent fleet operations insights, as opposed to more tail-specific alerts, he says.

“Dataliner is an important step in how Boeing is bringing its aircraft expertise and digital capabilities together to help customers anticipate maintenance needs, identify emerging risks and take timely action,” says Lindsey Douglas, Boeing Global Services’ cabin, modifications, maintenance and digital services vice president.

Boeing says it contains built-in access controls and encryption to protect sensitive data, as well as on-demand data sharing so airlines do not have to upload all of their data onto one platform.

Boeing built Dataliner with Microsoft, leveraging Azure AI Foundry and other technologies.
