Aviation Week’s 2023 Fleet & MRO Forecast predicts that commercial MRO demand in Mexico will represent a value of $11.8 billion for the period of 2023-32.
The data shows that 50% of the total MRO demand in Mexico will consist of engine maintenance, around $5.8 billion. Components and line maintenance account for 27% and 14%, respectively, while airframe heavy and modifications will see demand around $640 million and $519 million, respectively.
According to Aviation Week’s data, C checks and engine overhauls will comprise the largest share of MRO shop visits in Mexico for the period 2023-32, at 40% and 39%, respectively.
It is forecast that Mexico will see a total demand of 1,433 C checks and 1,402 engine overhaul shop visits for the period 2023-32. Meanwhile, there will be a demand of 405 D checks and 368 engine LLP events in the country over the next decade.
