AJW Group, has unveiled a new UK-based engineering division that will specialize in Part 21J design, Part 21G production and Part 145 maintenance services.

The newly announced business will operate as AJW Technique Engineering and will commence services from the fourth quarter of 2023. AJW says it will be based in the UK, where it has its headquarters in Slinfold, close to the town of Crawley and near to London Gatwick Airport.

AJW says the services, which will be offered to a global customer base, will include cabin interiors design, engineering, modification, repair and manufacturing for both commercial and VIP sectors, as well as passenger-to-freighter cargo conversions, composite repair and engine structural repair.

For the Part 21J design offering, AJW will develop and approve modifications and repairs in compliance with industry regulations and safety standards from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, European Union Aviation Safety Agency, FAA and the United Arab Emirates' General Civil Aviation Authority. This will be done by the division’s design organization approval and production organization approval teams.

AJW Technique Engineering's production unit will focus on manufacturing and certifying aircraft parts, while its maintenance offering will focus on aircraft MRO services.

“With the establishment of AJW Technique Engineering, we are taking a significant step forward in expanding our capabilities and enhancing our ability to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions to the aerospace industry,” says Christopher Whiteside, chairman of AJW Group.

AJW has hubs and offices across multiple global locations along with a component repair facility in Montreal, which operates as AJW Technique. In 2021, it launched AJW Technique Europe from its headquarters to operate as its European MRO arm.
