Video: Brawlr Mobile Air Defense System At AFA’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland—Sierra Nevada Corp.’s (SNC) Battery Revolving Adaptive Weapons Launcher-Reconfigurable (Brawlr) system was on display at AFA’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference. SNC is showing the system as the U.S. Air Force is looking to bolster air base defenses.

The air defense system comes in stationary or mobile versions and has multiple interceptor options, spanning from rocket pods for 2.75-in. (70 mm) Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) guided rockets to various missiles. Brawlr sports multiple sensors to detect and track targets. SNC says the system already has employed AIM-9M missiles, the APKWS rockets, MIM-23 Hawk missiles and AIM-132 Asraams, as well as Russian-made R-37 missiles.
