NASA Selects KBR Wyle For Mission Operations Contract

NASA has awarded KBR Wyle Services, LLC a  $1.93 billion maximum value, five-year contract to provide the agency with mission and flight crew operations support for the International Space Station (ISS) and future human space exploration activities.

The base period of the Integrated Mission Operations Contract III (IMOC III) cost plus/award fee contract extends from Oct. 1 through Sept. 28, 2028, with a pair of two-year options that could extend the agreement through Sept. 30, 2032, according to a July 20 NASA contract announcement.

Fulton, Maryland-based KBR leads a team that includes Barrios Technology of Houston and Leidos, Inc. of Reston, Virginia.

The contract team is to provide support and products for the Flight Operations Directorate at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, home to the agency’s human spaceflight Mission Control, astronaut corps and crewed flight hardware development.

The contract also includes support for NASA’s Exploration Systems Development and Space Operations Mission directorates, whose responsibilities encompass the ISS and the Artemis lunar program, according to the contract announcement.
