LOS ANGELES — Alaska Airlines this week began a measured expansion at Salt Lake City, where it is adding 11 new daily departures, most of them in markets now dominated by Delta Air Lines. Between June 9-19, Alaska is adding flights to Seattle, Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, California, Boise, Idaho and Las Vegas. Among those cities, only Seattle was previously served by Alaska. Seattle is going from two daily flights to three, while Alaska is adding one or two daily flights in the other markets.
