Bombardier delivered the first CSeries aircraft to Lufthansa subsidiary SWISS June 29. Bombardier then provided a 45 minute demo flight to media on one of its CSeries flight test aircraft. ATW editor Karen Walker was onboard and videoed the take off.

US industry chiefs lauded former JetBlue Airways CEO Dave Barger in June when he was presented with the 2016 L. Welch Pogue Lifetime Achievement Award, awarded by the International Aviation Club (IAC) of Washington DC and Aviation Week & Space Technology. Barger joined a long line of preeminent Welch Pogue Award recipients who have helped shape modern commercial air transportation. This year’s award was presented at a dinner in Washington DC by Aviation Week Network president Greg Hamilton and IAC president Tulinda Larsen.
