Noemi Selects Syensqo Composites For Electric Amphibian

Noemi Aerospace has selected composites manufacturer Syensqo as a materials supplier for its planned nine-passenger electric amphibious aircraft. The Norwegian startup will use Syensqo's carbon fiber prepreg and structural adhesive.

TransFuture Unveils Pre-Production Hongu eVTOL

China’s TransFuture Aviation unveiled the pre-production prototype of its Honghu 5-6-seat tiltprop eVTOL air taxi Sept. 11 at the Inclusion·Bund Conference in Shanghai. The unveiling follows a 100 million yuan ($14.4 million) pre-Series A+ funding round in May.

European Project Targets GPS Interference For AAM

Dimetor, an Austrian specialist in communications networking and navigation monitoring for drones, has joined Boeing Aerospace Spain and SkyGrid in the three-year, EU-funded Viator project to develop a service for automatically monitoring, detecting and alerting against GPS interference in AAM operations.

Maryland Invests In Hybrid eVTOL Developer Hopflyt

Maryland’s Tedco economic development organization, which makes early-stage investments in technology companies, has invested $500,000 in Hopflyt, a startup developing hybrid-electric channel-wing VTOL uncrewed aircraft.

Intermountain Health Opens Service Base In Utah

Intermountain Health has opened a new Flight & Ambulance Services base at St. George Regional Hospital in Utah, consolidating crews, equipment, maintenance and support facilities near the hospital's helipad and emergency department. The health system expects the facility to reduce helicopter response times by roughly 5-10 min. for missions within about 150 mi. of St. George.

 Cape Air Orders Grand Caravans

 Cape Air has ordered eight Cessna Grand Caravan EX turboprops for its Montana network, with deliveries and entry into service planned to begin in 2027. The aircraft will support regional passenger operations and provide additional baggage and cargo capacity for communities across eastern Montana.

Daher’s KVE Expands Composites Facility

Daher subsidiary KVE has opened a 1,800-m² expansion of its composites production facility in The Hague as the company marks its 30th anniversary. The expansion follows more than €2.5 million in investment during 2025-26 and will support production of blades, wing structures and other composite components for aerospace and defense customers.

AutoFlight Secures Order For CarryAll Cargo eVTOLs

China’s AutoFlight has signed an agreement with Infini Aero for the purchase of 30 V2000CG CarryAll cargo eVTOLs. The first five aircraft are scheduled for delivery this year for use in logistics, emergency response and medical transport.

Global 800 Earns London City Airport Approval

Bombardier Global 8000 has received approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority to operate at London City Airport. The 8,000-nm business jet, which has a top speed of Mach 0.95, is cleared to use the airport's steep approach and short runway, allowing operators to fly closer to central London rather than using airports such as Farnborough or Luton.

Skyports To Help Launch AAM In Oita, Japan

Skyports Infrastructure has partnered with the Oita prefectural government in Japan to support its plans to launch commercial AAM operations around 2028. Service is expected to start with sightseeing tours of Beppu Bay and routes between Beppu and Yufuin.

Tata Helps India’s Sarla Develop eVTOL

Engineering services provider Tata Elxsi has signed an MOU to collaborate on the development of Indian startup Sarla Aviation’s Shunya piloted, six-passenger eVTOL aircraft, providing engineering support across flight control systems, software integration, and certification.

Torque Sensor Developed For Hybrid Powertrain

UK-based sensor developer Transense Technologies and GE Aerospace company Unison have collaborated to develop a torque-sensing technology used in GE’s hybrid-electric flight demonstrator, a Saab 340 modified with a megawatt-class hybrid propulsion system.

Starlink Now Available On Hawker Aircraft

Starlink high-speed inflight connectivity is now available for Hawker 700, 800 and 900-series aircraft following FAA approval of an AeroMech supplemental type certificate. The Starlink Aviation Performance Kit can be installed at Textron Aviation service centers and provides advertised download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, upload speeds of up to 100 Mbps and latency as low as 20 millisec.

Working with Cert Center Canada, Horizon Aircraft has begun wind tunnel testing anti-icing technologies developed by the University of Toronto, beginning with small coupon samples. Horizon is planning to certify its Cavorite X7 eVTOL aircraft for flight into known icing.

Modesto Jet Center Acquires Corporate Hangar

Modesto Jet Center has acquired a 26,510 ft.² corporate aircraft hangar at Modesto City–County Airport in California. The facility, which can accommodate aircraft up to the size of a Gulfstream G650, includes executive office space, gated vehicle access and support from the company's 24/7 fixed-base operator.

PAL-V Wins Production Approval For Drive-Fly Liberty

Netherlands-based PAL-V has received its Production Organization Approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and now holds both automotive and aviation approvals to manufacture its Liberty roadable gyroplane. First deliveries are planned for 2028.

Poland Establishes Drone Centers Nationwide

The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency has established 10 uncrewed aircraft system competence centers covering various regions to develop Poland’s drone industry by facilitating beyond visual line of sight flights, long-range missions and heavy drone testing.

Spring City Aviation has acquired REVV Aviation's FBO at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, expanding its Wisconsin network to five locations. The facility includes 6,400 sq. ft. of hangar space and will offer charter services, ground support and on-site aircraft maintenance in addition to fueling and FBO services.

Textron Aviation Earns Australia's Part 145 Approval

Textron Aviation has received Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority Part 145 approval for its maintenance organization covering company-owned service centers in Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast. The approval enables the centers to provide CASA-approved maintenance, modifications, overhaul and aircraft-on-ground support for a fleet that includes more than 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft operating in Australia.

SkyHop Aviation Signs MOU For NOEMI Aircraft

NOEMI Aerospace has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indian seaplane operator SkyHop Aviation covering the potential introduction of up to 15 NOEMI amphibious aircraft in India. SkyHop plans to introduce up to 10 aircraft by fiscal 2030, with options for five more, while the companies will also explore potential manufacturing and assembly of electric and hybrid NOEMI aircraft in India.

Best Jets International Completes FAA Proving Runs

Best Jets International has successfully completed the required FAA proving runs for its planned Part 121 supplemental operations, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion into higher-capacity charter operations. Proving runs allow the FAA to evaluate an operator’s personnel, aircraft, procedures and other factors. Best Jets plans to operate a fleet of four Embraer E170 aircraft. Upon approval, Best Jets will operate under Part 121 and Part 135. Best Jets began operations in 1995.
