Spring City Aviation Acquires Wisconsin FBO

Spring City Aviation has acquired REVV Aviation's FBO at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, expanding its Wisconsin network to five locations. The facility includes 6,400 sq. ft. of hangar space and will offer charter services, ground support and on-site aircraft maintenance in addition to fueling and FBO services.

Textron Aviation Earns Australia's Part 145 Approval

Textron Aviation has received Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority Part 145 approval for its maintenance organization covering company-owned service centers in Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast. The approval enables the centers to provide CASA-approved maintenance, modifications, overhaul and aircraft-on-ground support for a fleet that includes more than 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft operating in Australia.

TITAN Aviation Fuels, AERO Specialties Launch Preferred Program

TITAN Aviation Fuels has partnered with AERO Specialties to launch the TITAN Preferred GSE Program for TITAN-branded FBOs. The program will provide participating locations with preferred GSE pricing, maintenance and training support, financing and leasing options, telemetry technology and fleet optimization services across TITAN's network of more than 675 FBOs worldwide.

Wisk Building Vertiport Testbed For Autonomous eVTOL

Wisk Aero has broken ground on a vertiport at its flight test center at Hollister Municipal Airport, California, to serve as a dedicated testbed to evaluate terminal area flight procedures and precision landing technologies for autonomous eVTOL air taxis.

SkyDrive Plans Initial eVTOL Medical Flights In India

Japan's SkyDrive, Air India and automaker Suzuki are evaluating initial routes for eVTOL medical logistics in India. Initial use cases are transport of radioactive isotopes for cancer diagnosis, emergency medical and organ transport, as well as aircraft parts transport.

SkyHop Aviation Signs MOU For NOEMI Aircraft

NOEMI Aerospace has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indian seaplane operator SkyHop Aviation covering the potential introduction of up to 15 NOEMI amphibious aircraft in India. SkyHop plans to introduce up to 10 aircraft by fiscal 2030, with options for five more, while the companies will also explore potential manufacturing and assembly of electric and hybrid NOEMI aircraft in India.

PriorityEvac Launches Hurricane Evacuation Program

PriorityEvac has launched a membership-based hurricane air evacuation program providing Florida residents and seasonal homeowners with pre-arranged flights to Atlanta when specified hurricane forecasting criteria are met. Annual membership costs $1,250 per person and covers up to two qualifying evacuations per hurricane season, with flights operated by Global Crossing Airlines from six Florida airports.

Sky X Opens FBO Terminal At Louisiana Airport

Sky X has opened a new FBO terminal at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport in Louisiana, completing the first phase of a nearly two-year development project. The facility includes a 10,000-ft.2 terminal and 30,000-ft.2 hangar, with two additional 30,000-ft.2 hangars scheduled for completion in fall 2026.

Naples Airport Automates Weather, Other Broadcasts

Naples Airport has deployed Frequentis' SmartATIS system to automate broadcasts of real-time weather and airfield information to arriving and departing pilots. The system replaces manually recorded hourly Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS) messages and incorporates weather data along with controller-entered information including runway configurations, taxiway closures, construction activity and wildlife advisories.

Nighthawk Flight Systems, Scandinavian Avionics Partners On Service

Nighthawk Flight Systems has partnered with Scandinavian Avionics to establish a European service and support presence for Nighthawk's legacy avionics systems. Scandinavian Avionics will provide in-house repairs, spares for aircraft-on-ground exchanges and loaners, installation support, maintenance and dealer coordination for European operators.

Indian Operator Signs For NOEMI Electric Seaplanes

Norway's NOEMI Aerospace has signed an MOU with Indian seaplane operator SkyHop Aviation for up to 15 amphibious electric aircraft. Under the UDAN regional connectivity program, the Indian government is developing up to 150 new seaplane routes.

MD Aircraft eViator Pre-Order For Sri Lankan Operations

Wings Capital Management of the United Arab Emirates and operator Blue Skies Aviation Solutions of Sri Lanka have signed a pre-order agreement with Germany's MD Aircraft for 10 MDA1 eViator electric aircraft for service in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Atlantic Aviation To Open New Nashville FBO

Atlantic Aviation has begun construction of a new FBO at John C. Tune Airport near Nashville that is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027. German startup MD Aircraft has signed an MOU with the Green Flyaway initiative to cooperate on electric aviation in the Mid-Scandinavian region. Green Flyaway is a cross-border project between Norway and Sweden to provide test arena for AAM, with sites at Ostersund and Roros.

Michigan’s AAM Initiative Funds Pilot Projects

Electra conducted New Jersey’s first AAM demonstration on Aug. 14, with its EL2 Ultra Short hybrid-electric demonstrator landing and taking off 150 ft. from Bader Field, a disused airport in downtown Atlantic City. Closed in 2006, Bader Field was the first U.S. municipal airport.

Eve Named Mobility Partner For Orlando Redevelopment

China’s AutoFlight has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indonesian helicopter operator Whitesky Aviation for 60 V2000EM Prosperity passenger eVTOLs. Whitesky also operates Cengkareng Heliport, located next to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Best Jets International Completes FAA Proving Runs

Best Jets International has successfully completed the required FAA proving runs for its planned Part 121 supplemental operations, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion into higher-capacity charter operations. Proving runs allow the FAA to evaluate an operator’s personnel, aircraft, procedures and other factors. Best Jets plans to operate a fleet of four Embraer E170 aircraft. Upon approval, Best Jets will operate under Part 121 and Part 135. Best Jets began operations in 1995.
