Polaris Aero Adds AI To VOCUS Safety Management Platform

Polaris Aero is updating its VOCUS Safety Intelligence application with the addition of AI-powered risk management, improved content search and expanded data sharing and benchmarking. According to the company, the new AI features improve data entry and search tasks and more efficiency and speed, officials say.

Nighthawk Flight Systems Unveils New Avionics System

Nighthawk Flight Systems announced its new “Guardian” large format glass cockpit avionics system. According to Nighthawk, the system is 50% lighter than a current, equally capable avionics system and utilizes high-resolution 3D graphics on touchscreen displays. The system also includes a compact computing center, “NEST,” that can be positioned anywhere in the aircraft that connects to the Guardian panel display via a single cable. According to Nighthawk, NEST features individual “blades” that provide mission computing, an air data/attitude/heading reference system (ADAHRS) and smart I/O.

Pipistrel Opens Parts Warehouse In Wichita

Pipistrel is adding a U.S.-based parts warehouse in Wichita. The warehouse will be used to enhance the company’s parts distribution operations across North America and will stock inventory of parts for all current Pipistrel production aircraft. According to Pipistrel, the warehouse, located at the Textron eAviation headquarters, will host a “comprehensive selection” of frequently requested parts by the end of 2025.

Elevate Jet Adds VIP Airliners To Aircraft Management Capabilities

Elevate Jet was awarded Certified Air Carrier capabilities by the U.S. Department of Transportation, allowing it to operate large aircraft, such as the Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) or the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ). Its operations for these aircraft include management, demonstration flights and structured leasing. The expansion of Elevate Jet’s capabilities was made in response to increasing demand in the U.S. charter space, according to Reid Oslin, vice president of strategic accounts for Elevate Aviation.

Tecnam Names Cutter Aviation As Authorized Dealer for Arizona, California

Tecnam has selected Cutter Aviation as its authorized dealer for Arizona and California, as part of the OEM’s growth strategy across North America. Cutter Aviation will offer Tecnam’s complete line of aircraft, including the P2010, P-Mentor and P2006T. Additionally, the company will provide certified maintenance support for Tecnam aircraft. Cutter Aviation was selected for its “deep roots” in the U.S. Southwest, company officials say.

Execujet MRO Services Australasia Working On Three Falcons Simultaneously

Execujet MRO Services Australasia is conducting a heavy maintenance check on three Dassault Falcon aircraft simultaneously at its facility at the Sydney Airport. According to the company, a Falcon 2000EX EASy is undergoing a 24-yearly (3C) heavy maintenance check and a full airframe repainting, a Falcon 900EX is undergoing an “out of phase” scheduled check and a Falcon 900EX EASy is undergoing a 36-month scheduled maintenance check. Execujet’s Australian operation “performed virtually no maintenance work” on Falcon aircraft prior to its acquisition by Dassault Aviation, but the family of aircraft now makes up 15% of its business today.

Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems Acquires N23D Services

Aerox Aviation Group has acquired N23D Services, an FAA-PMA aftermarket gas cylinder provider. N23D focuses on gas cylinders for aerospace oxygen and compressed gas systems for commercial, business and military aviation customers. According to Aerox, N23D will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems and will add Paul Mira as its quality manager. The move follows Aerox’s recent acquisition of Omnigas Systems.

Deutsche Aircraft Adds Berlin Office

Deutsche Aircraft opened its newest office in Berlin, which will now serve as the German OEM’s strategic partnerships, political cooperation and joint dialogue, according to the company. Deutsche Aircraft CEO Nico Neumann stated the company intends to have a “more active role in shaping the Federal Republic’s aviation strategy,” which will include goals for climate protection, industrial value creation and sovereignty.

Rolls-Royce Engine, APU Added To EAP Hourly Maintenance Program

The Engine Assurance Program (EAP) announced the addition of the Rolls-Royce BR710C4-11 engine and APU to its hourly maintenance program. According to EAP, the program also covers the BR710A1-10 and BR710A2-20 engines, which power Gulfstream GV, Bombardier Global Express, XRS, 5000 and 6000 aircraft. EAP also covers all variants of the Honeywell TFE731. A complete list of eligible engines and APUs can be found at EAP’s website, EAP.aero/about.

Samson Sky To Launch Pilot Training Program For Flying Car Owners

Samson Sky, the developers of a hybrid-electric flying sports car, announced its plans to offer flight training for new pilots. According to the company, the training program serves as a response to a growing number of non-pilots who have reserved the flying sports car, known as the Switchblade. Samson Sky notes that the program is not exclusive to Switchblade customers and will likely involve collaboration with established flight schools while it builds its own training infrastructure.

Grove Aircraft Relocates To Arkansas

Grove Aircraft, a subsidiary of Game Aerospace, has relocated its operations from San Diego to Bentonville, Arkansas. The facility’s operations focus on the design, production and support of aircraft wheels and brakes. The move represents the company’s goal of vertical integration, company officials say. Additionally, landing gear production, based on Grove Aircraft designs, will continue in San Diego for the ongoing support of existing customers and programs.

Hartzell’s Outlaw Propeller Gains FAA STC For Mooney M20 Series

Hartzell’s Outlaw propeller has earned FAA Supplemental Type Certification (STC) approval for Mooney M20 series aircraft. The two-blade propeller is constructed from carbon fiber with the same performance as Hartzell’s two-blade metal options, but with significant weight savings and unlimited life blades, according to the company. The product’s name was submitted by Davis Aviation Vice President Donna Jones, whose suggestion was selected through Hartzell’s Name the Prop contest at EAA AirVenture 2024.

StandardAero’s Summerside MRO Inducts 20,000th Engine

StandardAero’s Center of Excellence (COE) for turboprop engine MRO in Summerside, PEI, Canada celebrated its 20,000th engine induction. The facility operates as a Pratt & Whitney Canada authorized Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF), specializing in the PT6A and PW100 turboprop engines and the JT15D turbofan engine. According to StandardAero, the company is the world’s largest independent P&WC authorized PT6A DOF and holds distribution rights with certain engine models.

MedAire Founder To Receive Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy

Joan Sullivan Garrett, founder and chairman of MedAire, will receive the Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy on Dec. 11, 2025, at the Aero Club of Washington’s annual dinner. The National Aeronautic Association award is recognizing her contributions for delivering medical, security and operational support to clients in the air for more than 40 years.

Menzies Aviation Inaugurates New Homes For Survivors In Rwanda

Menzies Aviation has partnered with local non-profit organization IBUKA to inaugurate 10 newly built homes for survivors of the 1994 genocide of the Tutsi people. Menzies also made monetary donations to fund Community-Based Health Insurance (CBHI) to ensure access to healthcare services for survivors and their families. According to Menzies, the project is a part of IBUKA’s “Musha Survivors Village” initiative to “restore dignity, promote healing and foster resilience among survivors.”

FAA Data Comm Now Available For Garmin GTN 750Xi Series Navigators

Garmin announced the availability of its FAA Data Comm product on its GTN 750Xi series navigators. According to Garmin, its FAA Data Comm enables aircraft to load clearances, frequencies and other data directly to the onboard avionics. Pilots can now use GTN 750Xi series navigators to request clearances through the device, which is also compatible with Garmin TXi flight displays, the company says.

The National Aeronautic Association award is recognizing her contributions for delivering medical, security and operational support to clients in the air for more than 40 years.

Awards For Pete Bunce, Mary Miller 

Pete Bunce, who served as president and CEO of the General Aviation Manufacturers Assocation, and Mary Miller, Signature Aviation's former vice president of industry and government affairs, received the Donald D. Engen Aero Club Trophy for Aviation Excellence. The Aero Club of Washington presented this annual award on June 25.
