Daher Aircraft celebrated the opening of its enlarged 6,000-ft.2 spare parts, maintenance, equipment overhaul and logistics center at Jonzac-Neulles Airport in western France.

The facility broadens Daher’s support for a range of aircraft, such as Airbus helicopters, Cirrus and Grob trainers and legacy aircraft, including aircraft built by Socata before it was taken over by Daher. The bigger Jonzac facility replaces Daher’s operation in Merpins, some 15 mi. to the north.

The expanded center provides workshops for composite airframe repair, painting, welding, landing gear hydraulics, battery overhaul and Level 2 non-destructive testing. Daher says it employs 32 people at the site and plans to expand to about 40 later this year.

The workspace provides continuity for Daher’s ongoing support and services contracts and provides for future growth, the OEM says. The facility has direct access to Jonzac-Neulles Airport’s 1,370-meter-long runway.

“The inauguration marks another important step in Daher Aircraft’s commitment to further strengthening our global support network and the comprehensive services it provides,” Daher Aircraft CEO Nicolas Chabbert says.
