G650ER Sets Sydney-Los Angeles Speed Record, Averaging Mach 0.86
It’s official: The National Aeronautic Association has approved a new speed record for flight between Sydney and Los Angeles. On March 11, a Gulfstream G650ER flew the 6,620-nm route in 12 hr. 40 min., averaging a cruise of Mach 0.86.
