LAS VEGAS—Honda Aircraft’s Advanced Performance Modification Group (APMG) S package has been validated by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

APMG S is a factory-developed upgrade and performance package that modernizes earlier-generation HondaJet classic models.

The performance package has also been certified in the U.S. and Canada, making it now available to the majority of global customers, officials tell Aviation Week during NBAA-BACE. This kind of continuous improvement for existing customers is a key focus of the company, they say.

The upgrade package expands range and increases maximum takeoff weights by 300 lb. It also modifies the Garmin G3000 with additional features, such as takeoff-and-landing data management and Flight Stream 510 connectivity. The package includes further enhancements, such as the Advanced Steering Augmentation System to boost handling precision, a graphical weight and balance function, crosswind capability and steeper approach certifications.

“At Honda Aircraft Company, we are deeply committed to continuously enhancing value by bringing meaningful innovation to customers throughout their ownership journey,” said Amod Kelkar, Honda Aircraft senior vice president and chief commercial officer. “We are pleased to make these enhancements available to more customers across Europe and to continue supporting the success of the global HondaJet community.”
