LearAvia's Lear Fan 2100 flies near Reno, Nevada, during its eighth test flight. The composite material, twin-engine, single pusher propeller aircraft first flew on Jan. 1, 1981 and resumed its flight test program in June of the same year.

LearAvia had accumulated more than 205 orders for the late William Lear's last aircraft design.
