The B-29 Doc taxis to the hangar. The restored aircraft is one of 1,644 B-29s built in Wichita during World War II. It is one of only two B-29s flying today. In 2016, volunteers concluded a 16-year restoration project allowing the aircraft to return to the skies and to serve as a flying museum.

The weekend brought aircraft from Doc’s Friends, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and multiple chapters of the Commemorative Air Force to celebrate the history of the Warbirds on display and to honor the men and women who built and flew them.
