A Global 7500 recently flew nonstop from Sydney, Australia to Detroit, a distance of 8,225 nm, which Bombardier touts as the longest city-pair in business aviation in history flown by a purpose-built aircraft. According to the manufacturer, the Oct. 6 benefitted only modestly from tailwinds averaging approximately 20 knots. Previously the aircraft’s nonstop record was a 7,990 nm trip between Singapore and Tucson, Arizona.
