Aviation Week’s 2026 Fleet & MRO Forecast predicts that the North American market will take delivery of over 4,500 commercial aircraft over the coming decade.

Almost 80% of these deliveries will be for narrowbody aircraft, which are split reasonably evenly between Airbus and Boeing.

The widebody market expects a little over 500 deliveries over the decade, however the split this time is much in favor of Boeing, which has 80% of the delivery market share.

The remaining 400 aircraft are regional aircraft, which is dominated by the Embraer E175, for the U.S. legacy carriers’ feeder network as they look to replace some of their aging regional jets.

Fleet growth over the decade is a little low at 0.8% CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate), as the legacy fleet ages and comes to retirement.
