The Mission Robotic Vehicle, built by Northrop Grumman’s SpaceLogistics subsidiary and designed to perform robotic servicing for satellites in orbit, was launched July 21. The U.S. Space Force considers on-orbit satellite servicing a critical building block for military space logistics, and it wants the commercial industry to bring the technology to maturity.
