Guy Leitch was born in England and grew up in South Africa. He has a PhD on African airline connectivity modelling. He holds Private and Glider Pilot licenses.
In the 1990s he was appointed the MD of a bank division to manage repossessed properties. At the time, he started writing and contributing to aviation and financial publications. In 2005, he acquired SA Flyer Magazine. He has become an aviation analyst in demand by South African TV, radio and print publications.
