ALLIEDSIGNAL AEROSPACE said FAA approved certification of the company's new Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EPGWS). American Airlines, which plans to retrofit its entire 635-aircraft fleet with the EGPWS, placed an order for the units last month (BA, Sept. 9/119).
