Major airplane parts and services provider Triumph Group has restructured into two divisions—one of which it is trying to sell—with its Integrated Systems and Product Support business units merging into “Triumph Systems & Support,” effective immediately.

Triumph’s new combined systems and support division will offer design, manufacture and overhaul capabilities for aircraft systems and components, including electronic controls, heat exchangers, gearboxes, actuators, nacelles, engine accessories and hydraulics.

Bill Kircher, current EVP of Triumph Product Support, will become the EVP of the new combined systems and support business headquartered in Arlington, Texas, near the Dallas-Fort Worth aerospace and defense hub.

Frank Dubey, current EVP of Integrated Systems, will take on a “special advisory” role to the office of CEO Dan Crowley, “defining strategic growth opportunities for the company.”

Crowley said Feb. 17 the new organization will allow Triumph to accelerate its aftermarket growth rate while simplifying the Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based company’s structure. The moves are the latest in a multiyear divestiture and consolidation effort under Crowley.

“After several years of site, program, and business portfolio rationalization, we are putting together the right people, products and services to sustain long-term growth for our company. As a single business unit with comprehensive capabilities, Triumph Systems & Support will offer new value propositions for our customers and make it easier for them to partner with Triumph and get the support they need,” Crowley said.

Triumph Systems & Support combines 16 OEM component factories and 14 FAA Part 145 repair centers under one management and customer support team.

The other major division remains Aerospace Structures, which includes the aerostructures business that Triumph is seeking to offload.
