New Libyan carrier Berniq Airways announced a firm order signed earlier this year with Airbus for six Airbus A320neo family aircraft.

The airline already operates six A320ceos and intends to further develop its regional and international routes with the new narrowbodies, the carrier said. The neo order is believed to be a firming of an agreement signed in May at Airbus’ Toulouse factory.

The order was announced at the show via press release but there was no press conference and anticipated delivery dates were not given.

Berniq began operations in 2021.
