Ethiopian Airlines plan to order Boeing B777X

ch-Aviation has reported that Ethiopian Airlines is going for the Boeing B777X to cover its future longhaul needs.

Chief executive officer Tewolde Gebremariam told The Wall Street Journal of the airline’s plans to order between 15 and 20 B777-8Xs as a replacement for the B777-200(LR) that Ethiopian Airlines currently operates.
The news comes in spite of reports that the defunding of the US Export Import Bank may affect Boeing orders.
Ethiopian Airlines recently announced plans to double its fleet size to 150 aircraft by 2025.
