Yemen to modernise its key airports

The Yemeni Ministry of Transport plans to announce an international tender for companies wishing to develop and operate the Sana'a and Aden airports the Yemen Post has reported.

Transport Minister Khalid Ibrahim Al-Wazeer said Yemen will follow some Arab and regional authorities which handed their key airports over to international companies to improve them.

“Their experiences show it was a good idea,” he added.

Two committees are set up under the Aviation Authority to run economic and commercial matters through expert international companies at airports, he said.
