WORLD ROUTES 2011: Registration Update

Although the 17th World Route Development Forum in Berlin is just over a week away we are still receiving new registrations and other exciting developments are occurring. Here are just a few of the recent highlights.

The latest airline to confirm their attendance is another Skyteam member, Aerolineas Argentinas. Attending for the first time this year will be Reykjavik-based low-cost carrier Iceland Express, while Denim Air have registered adding to the strong ACMI presence at this year’s event.

Registered to attend World Routes for the first time, Seychelles International Airport will bring their General Director of Civil Aviation Mr Gilbert Faure. Also attending World Routes for the first time this year is Regina Airport Authority who will attend together with Saskatoon International Airport, their Tourism Authorities Tourism Saskatoon & Tourism Saskatchewan and the Mayor of Saskatoon; Mayor Don Atchison.

Joining the other 150 Senior Tourism Officials at World Routes this year, is the Minister for Tourism for Ecuador who confirmed his attendance at World Routes this week. Both The Philippines Ministry for Tourism and Tenerife Tourism are attending and taking an exhibition stand for the first time this year. Also Tenerife’s Minister for Tourism will be attending.

Egypt Tourism will be sponsoring the Routes Talks Tourism Theatre where the Egyptian Minister for Tourism will be giving a briefing and Mr George Nikitiades, the Greek Deputy Minister for Tourism, will be providing the keynote address at the co-located World Route Development Strategy Summit (WRDSS).
