Minsk National Airport, the main air gateway to the Republic of Belarus, is to launch a major enhancement to its website www.airport.by with the launch of a bi-lingual interactive timetable and RouteMapper tool developed and hosted by OAG, a UBM Aviation brand. The contract was signed today at World Routes 2011 in Berlin and the service will be live on the Minsk website to coincide with their online marketing strategy for 2012.
OAG RouteMapper is an online mapping application that enables business and leisure travellers to see at-a-glance where they can fly to from Minsk National Airport, either directly or via a connection, and to view times and details of all flights on any route. The service will be available in English and in Russian.
“We are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for all users of our web site and want to make it as easy as possible for them to search online for flights to and from our airport,” said Dmitry Melikian, General Director, Minsk National Airport. “The added value offered by OAG RouteMapper will help us to promote our airport as an international gateway.”
Currently, 15 scheduled airlines and 50 charter carriers operate services from Minsk National Airport.
“Minsk is expanding its route network and handling more passengers than ever before, and we are very pleased to be part of the airport’s online marketing strategy to increase web site traffic and attract more passengers,” said Peter von Moltke, Chief Executive Officer, UBM Aviation.
OAG RouteMapper has been developed as an effective marketing tool to help airports of any size to promote their reach to destinations beyond the routes they serve directly.
