Virgin America Applies For Mexican Routes

Virgin America has set its sights on new routes to Mexico, it was announced this week.

Sir Richard Branson & Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger also christened the carrier's first international route across the border to Toronto this week - a new daily service.

As well as the new daily flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles to Toronto, which officially began on June 23, the carrier has lodged an application with the US DOT to serve San Jose del Cabo from San Francisco and Cancun from Los Angeles this winter.

Virgin America currently flies to San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Seattle, Las Vegas, San Diego, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Toronto, and starting in winter 2010 - Orlando.
